"Being healthy to me means being able to enjoy and experience my life to the fullest."The first time that Elaine heard one of her teachers say this, she knew that she would be dedicated to helping people live to their fullest potential. Elaine had always known that she was born to heal people and change their lives, and she found that through her work as a yoga therapy teacher and nutrition consultant.After graduating from Harvey Mudd College with a degree in Biology, she pursued her passion of teaching yoga and completed several hundreds of hours of training in pranayama, functional anatomy, and meditation. She became a certified nutrition consultant in 2015 from Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition, and today she is on an 1000-hr journey to become a certified yoga therapist at the Stress Management Center of Marin. She teaches group classes in San Francisco, work closely with chronic pain patients at a pain rehabilitation center, and provide one-on-one classes for individuals recovering from injury.With over ten years of practice, experience, and continuing education on functional anatomy, meditation, nutrition, and yoga therapy, Elaine brings her knowledge of wellness to the forefront when working with her students and clients. Having experienced and recovered from back pain, poor digestion, skin breakouts, insomnia, and chronic fatigue herself, Elaine understands and empathize with those she works with.
