DWIGHT CARTER

A product of Delray Beach, Florida, Dwight Anthony Carter, Jr. is a December 2004 graduate of Bethune Cookman University.  Dwight hit the ground running as soon as he stepped foot on campus at Bethune Cookman College.  He was an active member of the Student Government Association, serving as Sophomore Class Vice President, Junior Class President and Secretary for Student Activities/Senior Class President, Peer Counselor, Peer Facilitator and Men’s Senate President. Dwight also served as President of the National Association for Black Accountants (N.A.B.A.) and became a member of the Delta Beta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. Mr. Carter graduated with his Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting with a minor in Computer Information Systems. During his matriculation, he worked as Assistant to the Accounting Department and acted as Bookkeeper/Secretary at the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Volusia County. Upon graduation, Mr. Carter migrated to Upper Marlboro, Maryland where he landed his first job as a Tax Accountant for the Progressive Nursing Staffers in Springfield, Virginia.  He then enrolled in Nova Southeastern University to pursue his Masters in Taxation. With dreams of becoming an entrepreneur, Dwight moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he developed an Affordable Shoe Store Chain, Pretty Feet shoes, in both Greenbriar and South Dekalb Malls. Since November 2014, Mr. Carter has been working as a Tax Accountant with his own firm(s), New Beginnings Financial Group located in Riverdale, Georgia and also Atlanta (Bankhead Area).  He has hundreds of clients, offering a variety of services.  His staff assists clients in tax preparation, grant writing, credit repair, property management/cleaning services, general accounting services. He is currently a member of the Atlanta Chapter of the National Association for Black Accountants, Atlanta Alumni Chapter of Bethune Cookman Alumni Association, Advisory Board Member for Mundy’s Mill High School, College Student Mentor, Clayton County Chamber of Commerce Member, and Member of the Eta Lamba Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
