Follow Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People (DCABP)The Durham Committee on the Affairs of Black People was established in 1935 to serve as a public forum for discussion of community affairs, and especially Black affairs, in order to arrive at a consensus on its constituency's general betterment.This organization was and still is a much-needed institution that continues to serve as a representative of, and as a leadership body for, the Black residents of the City and the County of Durham. Wework toward the elimination of racial discrimination in public areas such as economic, education, civic affairs, politics, youth affairs, health, housing, legal, and religious and human affairs.
