Dr. Gloria Blaise

Her events center around impact, fashion, food, entertainment, and networking.Dr. Blaise is an expert in Ecology and Rural Development. Up until 2000, she was raised in Kafou, where she completed kindergarten. Her revival started in her late twenties learning about Ayiti while visiting the country to conduct her research. She currently serves as the Ambassador Lead for the Ambassador Program and Endowment Campaign at Ayiti Community Trust, a community foundation dedicated to investing in Haitian-led organizations and initiatives that promote self-sufficiency in Ayiti. She is a passionate advocate for ACT’s vision: a thriving, self-sufficient Ayiti where Haitian communities lead their own development. Under her leadership, ACT is building a sustainable source of funding to support Haitian-led efforts in Civic Education, Environment, and Entrepreneurship.Dr. Blaise holds an MS/PhD in Natural Resources and the Environment with a focus on planetary health applications in fragile contexts. She also holds a Bachelors in Ecology with a concentration on bird conservation and greenspace perceptions. She balances two jobs with the ultimate goal of moving back to Ayiti full time within the next ten years. She has published in peer-reviewed journals, helped lead the first Haitian-led Think Tank in Washington, D.C., and worked with federal and international agencies. She is an aspiring entrepreneur hoping to combine her expertise, passions, and impact work. Restoring Haiti’s environment is a life mission of hers.
