Claire Ellul is a Reader in Geospatial Data Engineering at University College London. Prior to commencing her PhD at UCL in 2003, she spent 10 years working as a GIS consultant in Malta, the Middle East and the UK, with a break 5 years in to complete an MSc in GIS. She specialises in 3D GIS, data quality and metadata issues and spatial data infrastructures and teaches MSc students Web and Mobile App development, and spatial databases and data management skills including SQL.
