Follow Debora AdachiDebora Adachi is a Brazilian-Japanese illustrator, children’s author and workshop facilitator with experience across publishing and animation. Currently based in Ireland.Her passion lies in creating art that is accessible exposing people to a variety of perspectives, to promote empathy towards what is often seen as "different." Through her work, she aims to capture the diverse world we live in.Debora has received recognition for her illustrations, being named a Highly Commended Illustration Winner for the FAB Prize 22. She is currently undergoing training and mentorship as part of the Pathways 2022-2024 children's illustration program by Pop Up Projects. Clients include Harper Collins UK, Goethe Institut, Mother Tongues, Broken Crow, DLR Arts Office. Her illustrations have been showcased in Hen’s Teeth Gallery, Dublin Canvas, and Garter Lane Arts Centre.Debora also collaborates as an arts facilitator for children with various organizations including Kildare Education Associated Schools (TAP), The Ark, Mother Tongues, and the Irish Architecture Foundation (OHJ). In 2024, she completed the Language Explorers Training which will allow her to become part of a panel of artists who will facilitate the Language Explorers workshops for children aged 3-6 years old.Furthermore, she serves as the Illustrator Coordinator for SCBWI Ireland and is a member of DesignOpp, a not-for-profit initiative that promotes diversity in Irish design.
