As you may know from the news, COVID-19, or Coronavirus, has become a more widespread concern and we want to share with you information about our efforts to keep our students, staff safe and healthy. We are carefully monitoring the situation according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, national expects and local authorities. In addition to following the attached guidelines from the CDC in conjunction with our already high standard of cleanliness which exemplify preventative measures including: Making additional hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes available throughout the class. • Thoroughly cleaning all hard surfaces with disinfecting solution containing at least 70% alcohol after each class.• Reminding staff and students about frequent hand washing.• Requiring that our staff stay home if they feel unwell.• Encouraging students who are ill to seek medical attention and to avoid public exposure as much as possible.• Please cancel your appointment if you have cold/flu like symptoms. All employees and students must wear gloves while attending class. In addition, our program meets the Mass. Dept. of Early Education & Care, JCAHO and OSHA guidelines. CEUs are available to the healthcare provider. Upon completion of the program, participants become AHA-certified to administer CPR to adults, children and infants. Skills taught include: •Assessment of victim's breathing and pulse •Foreign body airway obstruction techniques (Heimlich maneuver) •Use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) •Use of mouth-shields and other barrier devices •Determining your legal responsibilities and liabilities •Managing infants, children and adults •Managing medical, injury and environmental emergencies
