Cal Poly Swing Club (CP Swing) is a dance club at California Polytechnic State University, SLO. We enjoy dancing and teaching various Swing Dancing styles in our free time—especially Lindy Hop.On a weekly basis, CP Swing hosts lessons, as well as free social dancing—both of which are open to students and community members alike. We strive to create a relaxed lesson environment where everybody can “learn to Lindy.” Lessons are provided at Beginner and Intermediate levels, so participants with all amounts of dance experience can feel comfortable attending.Each year we also host a few large events, including a Swing Workshop and a Swing Exchange (fondly nicknamed sloX). People travel from all over California and the country to come spend three days and nights dancing to a host of live and DJ'ed music, as well as other fun activities! We have been a club since 1998.
