Connect-OC Coalition

CONNECT-OC, funded by the Orange County Health Care Agency, is a coalition dedicated to increasing accessibility to mental health services for transitional age youth, young adults (TAY/YA) and their families by networking colleges and universities to local community mental health resources. Dedicated to improving the system of care, CONNECT-OC is focused on aligning existing efforts, expanding referral pathways and bridging gaps in mental health treatment for the TAY/YA population. The coalition’s main objective is to promote available mental health care resources and encourage help-seeking behavior by reducing stigma associated with receiving mental health services. This will be accomplished through collaboration with local mental health service providers, colleges and universities, organizations serving at-risk TAY/YA individuals, and TAY/YA peer leaders to plan community mental health related events and promote outreach throughout Orange County.
