Community Caregivers of Greater Derrywasformed in 1988 by a group of concerned citizens who saw a need among elderly and disabled residents for practical assistance and support that would enable them to stay in their own homes, in safety and with dignity, for as long as possible. Our mission isto enrich lives and support individuals to remain independent through a compassionate volunteer community.We currently offer three complementary programs: OurVolunteer Care-Giving Programprovides in-home and transportation assistance to vulnerable elderly and disabled individuals from seven southern NH towns; OurLoaner’s Closet for Durable Medical Equipmentloans out wheel chairs, walkers, commodes, bath seats, etc. to anyone in NH who needs it for as long as they need it; Finally,Project Upkeepis a special set of "handyman" volunteers that make repairs to our low-income clients' homes.Everything we do for the community (drives, visits, repairs, equipment loans) we do for free.
