After experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety following the births of both of my children, I found myself longing for connection—a space to be creative, supported, and seen. I started small, inviting a few friends over to make wreaths. We laughed, crafted, and shared more than just supplies—we shared stories, struggles, and small moments of joy.What began as a casual gathering quickly grew. More friends joined. The crafts changed. And I realized something important: I wasn’t the only one who needed this kind of space. The more we created together, the more it became clear—we were doing more than just crafting. We were creating community.Common Threads was born from this experience: a belief that creativity, when shared, can be healing. That everyone deserves a place to try something new, connect with others, and feel like they belong.
