Since the Dance Program at College of Marin was founded in 1972 by the late Carol Ott, thousands of students have stepped, twirled, and pirouetted through the campus on their way to university and college programs, professional careers, and other creative ventures. The Dance Program offers a comprehensive Associate of Arts degree in Dance. College of Marin's highly-trained dance instructors teach technique classes in beginning and advanced levels of ballet, modern, jazz, choreography, conditioning/injury prevention, and hip-hop.
