ABOUT USCoco coalition is a 501c(3) social enterprise dedicated to curating holistic, safe and empowering opportunities for women of the African Diaspora to connect, grow and thrive. As a social enterprise, Coco is focused on creating spaces for Black women, and sowing into the well being of black teen girls by supporting projects that remove barriers to a healthy and secure future. Our mission is to address emotional, mental and social health by creating experiences for women of the African Diaspora and to mobilize a new generation of empowered Black girls.OUR EVENTSBlack & Beautiful Women's Brunch (BBWB)Originally, a passion project created in 2015 as an immediate response to the Sandra Bland tragedy, the inauguralBlack & Beautiful Women's Brunchwas an acknowledgment that Black women needed and deserved a place to feel safe and process all emotions surrounding what it meant to be a Black woman at the exact moment. The intention of BBWB is to create safe places for black women to coexist, to offer opportunities for Black women to support and affirm each other and to cultivate sisterhood and build community.Since 2015, we had hosted brunches in Oakland, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Washington DC, Johannesburg, SA, and Accra, Ghana.We look forward to seeing you at one of our events!Love,Coco Founders
