Why did they City ban shops/vendors from serving any food with the wine? That was idiotic! You want your participants to drink wine from 1p to 5p and shop and have NO food? Then you increase the price $5 per person?! I haven't been for the last year and decided to try it again ... definitely not as enjoyable as prior years before the City stupidly banned food! No wonder the number of vendors have decreased, as have the people going on the wine walk. Miss the church that had a fabulous DJ and spread of treats!! Now prefer Gardnerville's wine walk. The City of Gardnerville endorses the the wine walk. They have more vendors/shops AND more participating people. They are less expensive AND the vendors/shops serve some form of snack, so you can enjoy sampling the wine and not on an empty stomach!
