Carmen Caceres is a dance artist, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has been creating and presenting dance works in NY since 2011. Her works have been presented at Dixon Place, Eden’s Expressway, Green Space Studio, Battery Dance Company Studios, Triskelion Arts Center, and Center for Performance Research. In 2012 she founded DanceAction, a dance company that works as a creative platform to produce dance works in collaboration with musicians, designers, media and visual artists. DanceAction participated in numerous festivals and performance series in New York and abroad, such as Performance Studio Open House (PSOH) at Center for Performance Research, Take Root at Green Space Studio, and Under Exposed at Dixon Place. The company has recently presented an entire evening of works inspired by political activism and social justice at Center for Performance Research, Brooklyn, NY. DanceAction’s “Game Night” was part of the First International Contemporary Dance Festival of Mexico City (FIDCDMX) in August 2016. In July 2018 the company performed its most recent piece, "2 Minutes Hate" at Ticino in Danza, Festival and Campus in Ticino, Switzerland.
