Building Bridges is a well-established 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving Montgomery County for nearly 50 years, Building Bridges is dedicated to supporting court-involved youth. We serve young men and women aged 9 to 18 who face significant trauma, hardships, and challenges. Our mission is to act as a “safety net” by intervening and redirecting their lives toward positive outcomes. Each year, Building Bridges assists over 300 families, helping them meet their basic needs. On a typical week, we schedule more than 20 group activities to keep youth positively engaged. Last year, we provided Christmas presents to over 250 families and distributed more than 75 Thanksgiving family meals. Building Bridges has cultivated strong partnerships with organizations such as Children’s Medical Center, Sunlight Village, CrossFit, and various civic clubs. These collaborations allow us to host unique events including softball and basketball tournaments, biathlons, bike rides, and holiday celebrations for Halloween, Valentine’s Day, and Christmas. This year, we are excited to return to our annual wilderness challenge at the legendary Boundary Waters. Additionally, we offer a scholarship fund to help youth pursue training, certifications, or college education. These opportunities often represent first-time experiences for the kids, made possible through your generous donations. On September 11th, 2025, we will host our 25th Annual Building Bridges: Bridges to Success 5K and are seeking sponsors for this event!
