About Brushy Fork Leadership InstituteSince 1988, Brushy Fork Leadership Institute has worked to develop strong leadership in Appalachian communities. A strategic initiative of Berea College in Kentucky, Brushy Fork strengthens local and regional leadership in Central Appalachia.Each September, Brushy Fork offers a regional Leadership Summit, which includes a variety of intensive workshop tracks as well as plenary sessions on regional issues. The Summit is designed for community leaders, volunteers, organizations, and agencies that serve communities.
