Founded in 1982, Broadway Community’s mission is to serve as a bridge from crisis to stability for New Yorkers experiencing homelessness, hunger, mental illness, and social isolation. Located on 114th Street and Broadway, we operate a robust continuum of care that includes a soup kitchen, a seven-night-a-week shelter, a food pantry, on-site medical services, showers, case management, supportive counseling, employment assistance, housing navigation, and more. Each week, we help hundreds of our neighbors meet their basic needs and access the resources they need to improve their life circumstances.
