Follow Bristol BookFestBristol BookFest is a new collaboration with the non-profit Arts in Common BristolBookFest is a free, two-day public humanities program on the last weekend in March devoted to a close reading of a major literary text. An intellectually challenging event that brings together serious general readers with scholars in the fields of literature, history, political science, and film. Open to everyone — all from Bristol and beyond are welcome attend. About Arts In Common Born from the idea of an arts district centered around the town common, Arts in Common believes that arts and culture will provide Bristol the imagination and energy to transform a 17th century town common into a 21st century space for creative civic life. A collaboration between local artists and arts organizations, the Town of Bristol, Roger Williams University, and community members, Arts in Common embraces and supports the shared goals to stimulate, make accessible, and sustain arts activities and organizations that promote educational, economic, and cultural growth.
