About Bringing HopeBringing Hope was founded in 2004 and is a charitable company based in Birmingham operating across the West Midlands. We work directly with current and reformed, medium and high-risk offenders from complex and marginalised backgrounds, to reduce their offending and re-offending rates. This includes unique and culturally appropriate activities to engage individuals and their families where necessary, to desist or become “crime free”.Our vision is to see our client’s lives transformed for the better, beyond the negative influences of crime. We also want to equip them to develop their confidence to positively contribute to their families, neighbourhoods and wider community.Engaging with our clientsOur approach is to target the root causes addressing the thinking, attitudes and behaviour to build a resistance to the criminal environments and influences around them. Barriers faced with statutory services also have to be addressed and we work to build bridges between our clients and the various sectors they have to engage with to facilitate their rehabilitation and resettlement. Our experience of working in partnership with the prison estate has afforded us a greater insight and understanding of what is required to support an individual during their resettlement.
