The founders sought to create an organization that embraced inclusivity and considered itself an integral part of the community rather than separate from it. They firmly believed in assessing individuals based on their own merits, disregarding factors such as family background, affluence, race, nationality, skin tone, or hair texture. Their ultimate goal was to foster a fraternity that would contribute to a broader brotherhood dedicated to inclusivity rather than exclusivity.Since its inception, this esteemed fraternity has remained committed to serving the community at large. Rather than acquiring skills solely for personal gain or that of their immediate families, the members have always believed in returning their acquired knowledge and expertise to the communities they originated from.For over a century, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. has exemplified the motto "Culture For Service and Service For Humanity" by promoting brotherhood, scholarship, and service on local and global levels.
