Avalon is specialised in acquiring, managing, and/or implementing projects that facilitate a transition to greener food and agriculture, notably organic farming and agri-environment.Since its establishment in 1991, Avalon has implemented over 120 projects in 33 countries (23 European, 8 Asian, and 2 African countries). Its significant donors include the UN Organizations, the Global Environmental Facility Fund (GEF), the European Commission, EU Member State Governments, regional governments, associations and private organisations.Avalon Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation, registered as a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI) under Dutch law (RSIN No: 800470813).
