We are THE FEARLESS AND THE TRUE.About UsAshes to Rubies was founded by Jon Ruby, a former addict/criminal turned preacher and community organizer. Jon entered sobriety in 2006 and was giving hope for a new way of living. His marriage and family were restored. In 2008 Jon organized a community event called Breaking the Chains, featuring exNFL player and motivational speaker, Alvin Powell. In 2016 he organized the first Ashes to Rubies show.What We [actually] DoWe host monthly shows; free, public events that offer a platform for hope and create community. Each event starts at 7:30 pm with a live DJ and local artists performing spoken word, poetry, rap, etc. mingled with the personal stories of OVERCOMERS.We rep what we believe – check out our Lifestyle Apparel on our website or facebook.
