I'm Addi Banks, a former Sociology Instructor and an advocate for teaching Black History. There are so many unanswered questions that lead good people off track. History impacts much of what we experience in our lives. So it is a good place to begin. Using history to explore race and ethnic relations opens channels of understanding that we can relate to individually. We seek "The Whys toCan we all get along?"Bringing together all voices and perspectives helps us face realities in a way that does not allow the comfort of ignorance regarding myths. We must face the FACT that attitudes and behaviors around race and ethnic relationships are heavily based upon human universal qualities. So, culture, traditions, and complex social systems, that we are born into shape who and how we are.I want to hear from you.
