Meet Ebony Kelsey aka “Lady Black”Founder & Race Director – Arkansas Rasta Fest 5K/10KExecutive Director – John Cain FoundationEbony Kelsey, affectionately known as Lady Black, is a proud Little Rock native and Clark Atlanta University graduate with a degree in Mass Communication. With over 8 years of nonprofit and community organizing experience, Ebony is deeply passionate about uniting people through purpose, wellness, and cultural celebration.Her journey as a race director began after working for six years alongside the mega event, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, where she proudly presented “Hip Hop for the Cure”—providing high-energy entertainment at the sidelines and finish line. It was there her passion for race production was sparked, inspiring her to create her own events rooted in community healing and empowerment.She went on to host successful races in Fort Walton Beach, FL, including the Fort Mardi Gras 5K, now in its 7th year. In 2021, she returned home and launched the Arkansas Rasta Fest & Fun 5K/10K, combining her love for wellness, cultural pride, and mental health awareness.As Race Director and Executive Director of the John Cain Foundation, Ebony leads with heart, purpose, and the belief that through movement, music, and unity—we can change lives.Motto:One Love.
