Ammar Daba is a stand-up comedian, podcaster, writer, and actor. He appeared on Comedy Central’s “Comedy 3al Wagef – season 3” in 2018, then was chosen to perform his half-hour special also for Comedy Central in 2019. Ammar has written for TV shows, animation shows and radio since 2002, he created, wrote, and V.O.’d the Syrian animation series “Mawqef Micro” 2010-2016. In 2020 he wrote the Arabic comedy series “Karimophobia” for Shahid.net, “Karimophobia” was nominated for best Arabic comedy series in 2020. Ammar is the host of “Tak Tak” podcast, a weekly podcast that sheds light on the human experiences of its guest who come from all walks of life. He is also the co-host of “Qatch wa lahch”, a weekly podcast that provides insightful, informative & humorous commentary on events that take place globally. In 2021, Ammar started “2 Arabi not spicy” -which is an Arabic stand-up comedy tour in Europe- with his fellow comedian Saad Al Ghefari. The tour has already visited a few European cities and will last till the end of June 2022. In addition to the above, Ammar teaches Arabic comedy in Amsterdam where he resides.
