American Legion Post 144 of Miami Lakes is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization composed of veterans of all services and past conflicts. We have over 290 members that have served in WWII, Korean War, Vietnam, Gulf War, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) as well as many other conflicts around the world. Our mission is to assist disabled veterans, widows of veterans and children of veterans. We conduct several events per year to include VA Benefits classes, Health care classes, financial management classes, Natural disaster response and resources classes. As well as, cook outs, and outings for the veterans and families.
