Almost Home Rescue (AHR) is a non profit dog rescue serving Rhode Island. We are a small, yet dedicated group of volunteers who devote our free time to rescuing, rehabilitating-if necessary- and rehoming dogs in need. Our dogs come from various shelters across Rhode Island and in some cases are owner surrendered due to a variety of circumstances like divorce, moving or death. We do not maintain a shelter so all of our dogs live with foster families or in boarding until they can be placed in the right home. We can only take in as many dogs as we have an open home for, and therefore we welcome new foster applicants so we can help place more dogs who are at risk.
