Ajmal Mas Man Millar

Ajmal Mas Man Millar is an Atlanta-based mixed-media sculptor and visual archivist whose practice centers on creating visceral, assemblage forms. His work seeks to intervene in the ongoing dialogue surrounding Black male identity and performance, specifically focusing on the complexities of Black queer selfhood. Utilizing contrasting materials like encaustic wax and high-gloss resin, Millar creates "sentient archives" that explore vulnerability and armor. The Archive of Unveiling is deeply rooted in the nourishment and community spirit of his family's space, Calab.
