Follow Abigail SingerAbigail Singer, based in Portland, Oregon, is a member ofThe Work That Reconnectsfacilitators network. She has been active in movements for social, environmental and climate justice since 1998. Some of her past work has included organizing to abolish mountain top removal coal mining in Appalachia, working to shut down coal plants in western North Carolina and on the south side of Chicago, community organizing to stop water privatization, and campaigning for private prison divestment. She is also a Western Energetic Herbalist, medicine maker, and co-founder of the People’s Health Clinic, a multi-modality free clinic serving the houseless community in Portland.Abigail first experienced the Work That Reconnects in the early 2000s while participating in a social justice-focused sangha in Southern California, and deeply resonated with this approach to the healing of ourselves and our world. Over the years, she has come to see grief work as a necessary and powerful tool for healing and transformation, on personal, community and societal levels. Abigail is excited to partner with groups, formal or informal, to facilitate workshops, rituals and other explorations in the tradition of Work that Reconnects.
