Abbie Lois and Kerry Douglas

Abbie Loisis an illustrator and printmaker who specialises in screen printing and lino printing. Her work is inspired by folklore and stories of the land.Kerry Douglasis a classically trained bookbinder based in Glasgow’s East End. She crafts thoughtfully designed books with the environment, content and the user in mind.Two friends who met working and making at Glasgow Print Studio with a mutual deep respect for each other's practices, they decided to come together to create a workshop that they themselves would love to attend (if, you know, they weren't hosting it themselves).Both Abbie and Kerry have years of experience teaching their respective practises, with a range of people from children to adults, complete beginners to people looking to improve upon their skills, in a variety of professional settings. Ultimately, they both share the same goal in that they hope for their workshop participants to feel supported and encouraged to make a beautiful, handcrafted item that they can cherish for years. Most importantly, they want their participants to have had fun day learning new skills, or refreshing current skills.
