The 1916 Rising Centenary Committee (Scotland) is inclusive and non-party political, and was formed to perform a commemorative and educational role. It works in partnership with governmental, community and academic institutions, and delivered an ambitious programme of events to commemorate the centenary of the Easter Rising in 2016. Going forward the Committee plans to mark the remainder of the Decade of Centenaries with lectures, films screenings, plays and discussions.
