Kicking the event off is a new Opening Ceremony - including a parade of German and European cars, and featuring the princesses of the seven societies of the German-American Festival Society. No Oktoberfest would be complete without beer - and back by popular demand for 2025 is the hosted authentic German beer tasting experience.
Germans love their sports and this year we are adding friendly competitions - from Schleuderball throwing, to Masskrugstemmen beer stein holding, and our returning Cultural competition.
New performances this year include the Toledo Swiss männerchor - dammenchor (men's and women's choir), joining the returning kinder (children's) group of the d'Holzhackerbuam Schuhplattlers. Of course, our Deutsche Volkstanz Group will feature multiple times throughout the day!
