~ BOLLYWOOD DHAMAKA 2025 ~

After resounding successes of 'Bollywood Dhamaka 2022', 'Grand Tribute to Bappi Lahiri 2022' and Bollywood Dhamaka 2023 live Bollywood musical concerts, HARMIT CHOPRA PRODUCTIONS is thrilled to unveil its 4th live Bollywood Musical with our lead singer, SOUMITRA SARKAR in "BOLLYWOOD DHAMAKA 2025" on 1 November 2025 at St Marys Memorial Hall, St Marys.

SOUMITRA SARKAR is not only one of Sydney’s foremost vocalists but also the lead singer of Sydney’s renowned Bollywood band, Saaz Band. Growing up immersed in the golden voices of Kishore Kumar and later inspired by Kumar Sanu during his school years, Soumitra’s passion for melody runs deep. Trained in both Western and Hindustani classical music, he effortlessly bridges generations with a voice that music lovers in Sydney often say echoes the magic of Kishore Da and Sanu Da when he breathes life into their timeless classics. His musical journey has illuminated countless stages across Sydney and Canberra, earning him a reputation for unmatched versatility. But it’s in the realm of romantic ballads where he truly shines, capturing hearts and stirring nostalgia as he masterfully delivers the soul-stirring melodies of the 90s on 1 November 2025, taking audiences back to an era where music spoke straight to the heart.

Join us this year for an unforgettable musical celebration as a stellar line-up of vocalists join Soumitra Sarkar to present ‘90s Ka Nasha’, a heartfelt tribute to the timeless tunes and golden era of 90s Bollywood! Meet the sensational voices who’ll bring these melodies to life:

HARMIT CHOPRA was enthused in music whilst growing up in Fiji, where he found inspiration in the enchanting Punjabi folk melodies of his Grandma and the soul-stirring Ghazals and Hindi Film songs sung by his Father. Without formal singing lessons or vocal training, Harmit began his musical voyage by passionately humming Hindi tunes during his teenage years. As time passed, his interest evolved into joyful singing sessions with friends at various gatherings. His musical prowess expanded significantly when he immersed himself in the company of musos in Saaz Band, which he currently manages. Since 2011, he's graced the stage with live music, continuously honing his singing skills. This dedication has allowed him to shine in prominent local concerts in Sydney, where his melodic charm and emotive performances captivate the audience and leave an enduring impression.

MERINA SUMESH has her roots in Kerala and holds a bachelor’s degree in Carnatic music, which she attained with 1st rank from Calicut University, Kerala. She has been performing in Australia since January 2001. Having performed previously with famous singers like KS Chitra, Vijay Yesudas, Mohd Aslam, M G Sreekumar, Madhu Balakrishnan, Unni Menon (the revered list continues); Merina happens to be one of the most versatile female singers based in Sydney. Her versatility in both classical and light music and previous experiences doing high profile shows guarantees brilliant performance in any musical concert.

SAVITA RAM is a distinguished vocalist whose artistry is deeply rooted in cultural heritage, passion, and timeless melody. Hailing from Fiji, she was raised in an environment enriched with classical and traditional music, which fostered her lifelong devotion to the art of singing. From an early age, she performed at cultural and devotional events, gradually cultivating a love for semi-classical and Bollywood music. As a teenager, her talent was recognized when she won a local singing competition, marking the beginning of her journey as a performer. Throughout her early career in Fiji, she captivated audiences at community events and live concerts with her expressive voice and elegant presence. Now based in Sydney, Savita continues to uphold and share her rich musical legacy, earning widespread appreciation for her emotive performances, vocal versatility, and genuine connection with audiences.

ATUL KUMAR is a gifted vocalist, formally trained in Indian classical music. At 22, while completing his Architecture studies in Gujarat, India, he turned professional with his own Ghazal and Garba group. Deeply inspired by legends Kishore Kumar and Jagjit Singh, Atul has nurtured his love for music alongside a successful 25-year career as the founder of Signature Property Developers. He credits music for providing balance and creative fulfilment through his entrepreneurial journey. A passionate performer and lifelong learner, Atul has also won Indian Australian Idol and Voice of Sydney music competitions. Known for his effortless and soulful stage presence, he continues to captivate audiences with his melodious, heartfelt performances.

And let’s not forget our charismatic Master of Ceremony:

SHERAZ ALI is a dynamic voice and vibrant personality who has lit up the airwaves, sports fields, and community stages for over two decades. Known for his vocal charisma, effortless spontaneity, and masterful delivery, Sheraz has long been one of Sydney’s leading Hindi Radio Jockeys within the Fijian community. Beyond radio, his passion for sports saw him excel as a football presenter and commentator for Mai TV Fiji and Radio Tarana in Auckland. A natural host, Sheraz has fronted international concerts, cultural festivals, stage shows, and charity fundraisers. His heart for community is equally inspiring by actively leading campaigns for those in need and championing the power of sports to unite and empower the next generation.

90s KA NASHA…

Get ready to relive the era that made us fall in love with love, the unforgettable ‘Romantic Era of Bollywood’. This was a time when it wasn’t just a song, but an entire movie album turned into a chartbuster. Homes echoed with the crackle of radios and the whirl of VCRs, as families eagerly recorded their favourite melodies onto cassettes, because owning the original album was a prized treasure. It was an era where melody met magic, and music carried meaning far beyond the screen. Legendary composers like Laxmikant-Pyarelal and Kalyanji-Anandji continued to weave their timeless charm, while a new wave of talents in the likes of Nadeem-Shravan, Anu Malik, Jatin-Lalit, Anand-Milind, and A.R. Rahman reshaped the sound of Bollywood by blending classical Indian soul with contemporary Western influences. And who could forget Viju Shah, the undisputed rhythm king of the 90s, whose electrifying beats brought dance floors to life.

The unforgettable music of the 90s gifted Bollywood some of its most iconic voices; legends like Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Sadhana Sargam, SP Balasubrahmanyam, Kavita Krishnamurti, Sonu Nigam, Vinod Rathod, Abhijeet, and so many more who defined a generation. But the 90s wasn’t just a decade of great music, it was a musical movement. An era where romance had a melody, heartbreak had a soul, and joy danced to an irresistible rhythm. These were songs that didn’t just top charts, they became memories, emotions, and timeless treasures we still hum today.

Get ready for an unforgettable musical treat!
