This hike through Peters Canyon Regional Park is one of the most popular hikes in Orange County and that's why we don't hike it too often.
The hike has everything: well-maintained trails, climbs and flats, panoramic views, and wildlife spotting opportunities. Our Peters Canyon hike will take us on a very-doable 2 1/2 hour loop of the entire park.
Parking will be by Taco Bell and ALBERTSONS and we will walk into the park.

Bring 32 oz water/electolytes drinks, a healthy snack.
Tennis shoes that can get a little dusty are fine. Boots fine too.
Restrooms - At parking lot in Taco Bell.
Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash

Elevation Gain - 675 feet
Route Type - Loop.
Roughly 6-7 miles.

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE WITH THE GROUP ON THIS HIKE?

5) Wear boots or tennis shoes with excellent traction.
6) Wear and bring hat, sunscreen and appropriate attire/gear based on terrain and weather conditions.
7) Trekking poles suggested but not necessary.
😎 NO HIKER LEFT BEHIND BUDDY SYSTEM - Select another hiker as a buddy and check-in with each other on the trail. Do not leave a fellow hiker alone or unaccompanied on the trail.
10) We hike as a group, begin together and finish together.
