Juanita E. Mantz (“JEM”) is a USC Law educated lawyer, writer, performer, and podcaster. She has 2 books, a memoir titled "Tales of an Inland Empire Girl" (Los Nietos Press, 2022) which won bronze at the Latino Books Into Movies Awards and a hybrid chapbook titled "Portrait of a Deputy Public Defender, or how I became a punk rock lawyer" (Bamboo Dart Press, Aug 2021) which won gold at the International Latino Book Awards.
Her stories have been published in journals, newspapers & anthologies and she is an alumni of the VONA and Macondo workshops.
Juanita has presented at the Colony Theater, UCR Writers' Week, the UCR Punk Conference, Pasadena LitFest, AWP & Beyond Baroque and she received a 2023/2024 California Arts Council Grant at the Established Artist level.
Juanita is in the low residency MFA creative writing program at University of New Orleans. On her video podcast, "Life of JEM", she does live interviews with writers. She is currently working on a one woman show. Find everything on her author website:

Gina Rae Duran is an Interdisciplinary artist, and trauma informed educator. She is Editor of The White Picket Fence anthology, forthcoming FlowerSong Press, author of, “…and so, the Wind was Born,” FlowerSong Press, radio personality of The Collective, and founder of IE Hope Collective; an outreach for disadvantaged youth.
