REQUIRED MATERIALS
You must bring the following with you to the course:
- Government-issued photo ID
- USPA Skydiver’s Information Manual (SIM) – current edition, printed or digital
- USPA Instructional Rating Manual (IRM) – current edition, printed or digital (This will be your primary reference for exams and practice teaching.)
- Notebook and pens – for notes and lesson planning
- Logbook – showing at least 100 jumps and 30 minutes of freefall
(unless already verified in your USPA profile)
GEAR CHECKLIST
- Your own rig
- Altimeter, helmet, jumpsuit, audible, and goggles
- Packing money (in case you need help between jumps)
OTHER ESSENTIALS
Water, snacks, and meals – it’ll be a full day of classroom and jumping
Please bring a positive attitude and professionalism – you’ll be teaching, receiving feedback, and learning as a group!
COSTS
Course fees – $300, plus jump tickets for both yourself and the evaluator (Typically 4 to 8 slots per candidate. Cash, check, or digital payment accepted for course fee.)
