Workshop: Spring Containers

Get your hands in the soil and design a custom spring planter you’ll be proud to show off all season long. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll guide you step by step through creating a beautiful, balanced container for your doorstep or patio.

Join us in the Greenhouse with long-time Container Design specialist Jenny Beukenhorst as she walks you through the art and science of container design. You’ll learn how to select the right potting mix, choose plants that thrive together, and design with color, texture, and light conditions in mind. Jenny will share expert tips for sun and shade combinations, plus practical guidance on watering, fertilizing, trimming, and keeping your planter looking fresh all summer.

We’ll provide the guidance and inspiration — you’ll leave with the confidence (and know-how) to create stunning seasonal containers again and again.
