Tom & Jerry night is back. One night only. Thursday, December 18.
If you’ve never had one, this is the winter cocktail that predates almost every “holiday drink” you’ve ever seen. Long before eggnog went mainstream, Midwestern bars and supper clubs were serving Tom & Jerrys—hot, boozy, decadent, and impossible to make in a hurry. That’s why almost no one does them anymore.
A true Tom & Jerry starts with a batter: whipped eggs, sugar, spice. Ours stays faithful to that tradition, but we take it further—building the batter by hand, then folding it with hot water, dark rum, and enough heat to cut through a Nebraska winter. It’s old-school in the best way. There’s no shortcut version.
We only make this cocktail once a year. When the batter’s gone, it’s gone.
Thursday, December 18. While supplies last.
