They started as “Electric Bathwater” changed their name to “The Rolling Stones” – got sued by angry Englishmen – and finally settled on “The Ogden Edsl Wahalia Blues Ensemble Mondo Bizzarrio Band” … They hung out with odd people, recorded stuff, and played at joints like Omaha’s Music Box, The Whisky, A Go Go on Sunset, The Troubadour in West Hollywood, and Jugs in Hays, Kansas. Then the band, like all bands … except the Rolling Stones… broke up. Then years later, like most bands that break up … except the Beatles)… they reunited and played for one last time at the Legendary Ranch Bowl in Legendary Omaha, Nebraska.
Emmy Award winning Filmmaker Michael Mierendorf was there with his cameras. And now you can be there too. Mierendorf’s film, “The Last ‘Last’ Waltz” is premiering at the Blackstone Theater 3624 Farnam. Two shows Friday September 19th at 7pm (SOLD OUT) and 8:30pm (TIX AVAILABLE) … and another screening Saturday, September 20th at 8:30 pm. (TIX AVAILABLE)…
