Join us to honor National Stillbirth Prevention and Awareness Day with a moment of remembrance at the Bridge to Prevention!
National Stillbirth Prevention & Awareness Day is an opportunity to:
*Increase public awareness about the more than 21,000 babies stillborn in the U.S. every year
*Promote research and prevention efforts
*Provide community and support for families who have experienced stillbirth
The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge will be lit up in honor of this important day. We are organizing a gathering at the base of the bridge in Omaha (the spray ground area) that will include a walk across the bridge to raise awareness, along with a brief program to honor our babies and share important prevention tools. Along the base of the bridge, we also plan to display special yard signs that you can order! (See Discussion posts!)
This event offers a powerful way to come together as a community in remembrance and hope.
Whether you’ve personally experienced stillbirth or simply want to help raise awareness and support prevention efforts, you are welcome, and encouraged, to participate.
