About the event

2nd Annual North Omaha Black History Workshop
This event will explore historical people and events dealing with African Americans and North Omaha from Adam Fletcher Sasse's book #OmahaBlackHistory. There will be breakout sessions on Literacy in the African American Community. The History of Black Fraternities and Sororities in Omaha, NE. Elders and Youth: Historical Intergenerational Conversation about the Generation Divide. This is a Moreomaha.org event, and registration can be made at the website or by calling 402-212-7083. The supporters of this event are the Great Plains Black History Museum, the Learning Community of Douglas Sarpy, Inclusive Communities, and the Omaha Public Library.
