Who this course is for:
Suitable for anyone aged 13yrs+.
No previous experience necessary and no need to be able to swim.
This is an inclusive course - if you need extra support to take part please get in touch to see how we can help.
What you will learn:
Basic paddling techniques
Launching and landing safely
Kayak stability and body positioning
Basic safety and rescue skills
Coached by our friendly, experienced instructors in a supportive way, this course is perfect for anyone new to kayaking. Over four weekly progressive sessions, participants build knowledge, ability and confidence.
Dates & Times:
Mondays: 13, 20, 27 October, AND 3 November.
Times: 7:55pm – 8:55pm (8pm - 8:50pm in the pool)
Venue:
Fivemiletown Community Annex
Equipment:
We provide: Kayaks, paddles, buoyancy aids and helmets.
You bring: Shorts/swimsuit and a t-shirt for the pool, a towel and a dry set of clothes to change into afterwards.
Facilities:
There are toilets and changing facilities available, as well as parking.
