Who this course is for:
Suitable for anyone aged 13yrs+
Paddlers with basic kayaking skills, keen to develop further
This is an inclusive course - if you need extra support to take part please get in touch to see how we can help.
What you will learn:
This course aims to help paddlers develop skills and confidence in capsize, support strokes and rescues and to progress participants towards rolling.
Coached by our friendly, experienced instructors in a supportive way. Over five weekly progressive sessions, participants will be encouraged to develop ability and confidence, with advice tailored to meet individual needs.
Dates & Times:
Mondays: 6, 13, 20, 27 October, AND 3 November.
Times: 8:50pm – 9:50pm (8:55pm - 9:45pm in the pool)
Venue:
Fivemiletown College and Community Youth Annex
Equipment
We provide: Kayaks, paddles, buoyancy aids and helmets.
You bring: Shorts/swimsuit and a t-shirt for the pool, a towel and a dry set of clothes to change into afterwards.
Facilities
There are toilets and changing facilities available, as well as parking.
