Summer Concert: Clanna Morna

Rooted in the rich traditions of Irish, Scottish, and English folk music, Clanna Morna delivers high-energy performances filled with driving rhythms, haunting ballads, and powerful storytelling. Based in Victoria, BC, this dynamic ensemble brings a distinct West Coast flair to the Celtic folk genre, honouring the voices of rebels, underdogs, women, and queer people too often left out of history. Led by multi-instrumentalists Cody Baresich and Finn Letourneau—and often joined by renowned musician Jeremy Walsh—the band blends spirited jigs and reels with moving sea shanties and rebel songs, drawing influence from legends like The Dubliners and The Pogues. Since forming in 2020, Clanna Morna has toured widely across Western Canada and the U.S., earning a loyal following through sold-out shows, festival appearances, and heartfelt performances that bring centuries-old stories to life.

Escape to one of the most charming concert venues in the South Okanagan and Similkameen. Nestled under ancient horse chestnut trees in our heritage gardens, the rustic Summer Kitchen stage features a lineup that transcends genres: these artists have won Juno Awards, Canadian Folk Music Awards and even a Grammy and have have an oversized impact on the Canadian music scene. As the sun sets behind rugged mountains of the Similkameen, the magic unfolds. Attendees spread blankets and lawn chairs, immersed in the soft glow of twinkling lights and paper lanterns. Our concerts celebrate a range of acoustic genres–folk, roots, Celtic, Bluegrass and even acoustic blues. Talented artists weave together traditional melodies (with roots as deep as our venue) and thoughtful original compositions. Let the music carry you away–where history whispers and melodies linger.
