Saturday October 4, we are looking to have a social/hangout at Caryville Flats! The colors will hopefully have started changing and the cooler weather may bring out the elk. This ride will be handled a bit differently on our route up to the Flats. All OffRoad vehicles are welcome and all routes to the Flats are welcome. We plan on meeting at the Flats by 6pm, give or take. Anyone attending, MUST have at least a 1 DAY PASS from Windrock Park dated for October 4. Freedom OffRoad will be meeting in Rocky Top at the Community Center (207 Jacksboro Avenue, Rocky Top, TN 37769) around 415 and rolling out by 430/5. Times will depend on routes we take. We have scouted 2 routes.
1- Trail 62 starting at BeechGrove Missionary Baptist Church. This trail is stock capable, but we ask that driver has some trail experience also. We will have spotters and help if needed. Expect heavy brush and decent sized rocks in certain spots.
2- Will start up Vowell Mtn Road and hit Green 52, Trail 52, Trail 53, Trail 61, Trail 62, then in Flats. This trail has 2-3 tricky spots that requires at least 35” tires and some lift. This trail will take a little longer to reach Flats. There will be experienced riders and spotters if needed.
ALL are welcome to take their own route to the Flats and arrive by 6pm, but Freedom OffRoad will be running the previous mentioned trails. We welcome all that want to attend to bring your chairs, hangout, play at the Flats, and just have a good evening catching a sunset, hopefully some colors, and hopefully some elk. After sunset, we will make our way down Trail 62, back to Rocky Top and the ride ends when we reach the pavement.
