This upcoming Friday, come out to see to see the debut performance of Carolyn Lansom and her guitarist Greg Skulicz at Union Whisky in Olean, NY.
Carolyn ‘s artistry has earned her widespread recognition in Buffalo, including being the vocalist for the Jazz Buffalo Most Memorable Performance of 2024 alongside My Cousin Tone’ at the Northwest Jazz Festival and as the leader of Dozo My Lady, her trio that was crowned the Jazz Buffalo Favorite Jazz/Pop Group in the 2023 and 2024 JazzBuffalo Readers Poll. Those familiar with Carolyn’s work know her exceptional talent for reimagining classic arrangements, offering something that is both nostalgic and entirely new.
This duo plays seamlessly with incredible dynamics and feel, because they have played music together for most of their lives. As far as genre, this group has it all rock, jazz, oldies, pop. They’ll keep you entertained without a doubt.
Both of these musicians just performed on the Center Street Stage for the Northwest Jazz Festival in Lewiston in August with the Carolyn Lansom Quintet. Since December of 2018 they have performed every 2nd Friday 7-10 at Buffalo Distilling Co. Seneca St. Buffalo, NY. Prior to that they played in a wedding party band called The Buffalo 5 and an original group called Fountainhead.
