About this Event

The Christian Community Hub Movement aims to encourage, support and connect churches and Christian charities across the UK, as they bless their local communities in many different ways through community hubs in buildings, buses or even boats or tents!



Christian led Community Hubs can be like Embassies of God’s Kingdom – Ruled by the life and love of Jesus

Our vision:-

Christian Community Hubs are transforming people and communities in many localities. We want to see Christian Community Hubs15 minutes from every home in in every City, Town and Village in GB & Ireland

Come along to this launch event, share your story and be inspired by many others with the same vision and hope.

INTRODUCTIONS, WORSHIP, VISION

Info: We'll kick off the day by focussing on Jesus with inspiring worship, followed by a passionate introduction to the vision for the Christian Community Hub Movement by its co-ordinator Nigel Adams, Founder of Christian charity Hope Nottingham and author of "Communities of Hope - Growing Christian Community through Social Action"

GOOD NEWS STORIES FROM CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY HUBS ACROSS GB & IRELAND

Info: An opportunity for anyone to share the great work that is happening in many local neighbourhoods.



🕑: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
THE DNA OF CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY HUBS

Info: (Includes coffee break 10.50-11.05)) Roundtable discussion and feedback to bring to life the great things that different Christian Community Hubs share in common. Followed by guidance on local networks and how we will use social media and website to resource on another.

NETWORKING, LUNCH, EXHIBITORS WORKSHOPS

Info: We are very keen to encourage local and regional networks of Christian Community Hubs and to enable peer support. So there's plenty of time to network. There will also be exhibition stands and optional workshops with various relevant Christian community charities and projects - and lunch is included! Optional exhibitor workshops will run from 12 til 12.20 and 1.10 to 1.30 Exhibitor Workshops so far include: -Churchworks sharing about their social prescribing report and how-to-guides, and our Family Hubs Toolkit which enable projects to partner with local services. Neighbourhood Chaplains who train and support volunteer chaplains to go out and serve their local communities. Welcome Churches who enable churches and community hubs to welcome and support refugees and asylum seekers.

CHOICE OF WORKSHOPS
Host: Nigel Adams

Info: Workshop Choices include: "Growing Christian Community" Nigel Adams - How to create a Christ centred environment to nurture faith and enable compassionate community; "Partnerships" Mike Farley - Developing and maintaining mutually supportive partnerships with statutory bodies and other community groups; "Good Help and Referral" Peter Heywood - The people who come to our Hubs have many different needs. How do we recognise those needs, and provide them with support ourselves, and how do we make referrals to other organisations ? We’ll think about Good Help – long term personalised support – and about guiding some people to other places where they can receive the specific help they need.

FEEDBACK DISCUSSION & Q&A

Info: In this final main session we will feedback and summarise and celebrate what has been shared throughout the day. Invite Q&A to our core team and describe opportunities for everyone to contribute and share their experience through local networks and online forums. With Concluding comments from co-ordinator Nigel Adams
