Quarter Horse Opening Weekend
Remington Park begins another year of winning racing action with the beginning of the 2026 American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa Season!
The 50-date season begins with a flurry of activity for Opening Weekend, March 5-8!
The first race nightly is 6pm, with Sunday racing underway at 4pm. All times are Central.
Opening Night on Thursday, March 5 features trials for the Grade 1, $200,000 (estimated) Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity.
Friday and Saturday, March 6 & 7, features trials for the Grade 2, $400,00 (estimated) Oklahoma Futurity. The oldest futurity in American Quarter Horse racing, the Oklahoma will be contested for the 85th time. The fastest five qualifiers from each of the two nights of trials will move on to the rich final on March 21.
The opening weekend wraps on Sunday, March 8 with the first stakes races of the season, the $75,000 Mighty Deck Three Stakes for Oklahoma-breds. There will be more trials as qualifying takes place for the Grade 3, $200,000 (estimated) Oklahoma Derby.
The Remington Park spring season continues until May 30.
Simulcast racing is available daily at Remington Park, normally underway by 11am. Admission and parking are always free at Remington Park where the Casino is always open!
