The Ranching Foundations program is sponsored by The South Florida Beef-Forage Program of the University of Florida/IFAS. It is conducted with the volunteer assistance of area livestock producers and Allied Industries. The Ranching Foundations program is part of a continuing multi-County education effort to help South-Central Florida producers raise and market more high quality beef cattle, per cow, per acre, profitably.
Producers will learn about pasture assessment, pasture nutrition, sprayer calibration, as well as where to find cost-share programs and a beginner rancher checklist to help producers. Throughout the day agents and producers will provide information to help producers better manage their pastures to produce more forage and help meet the nutritional needs of their cattle.
Registration for this event will cover lunch and educational materials.
Anyone wishing to participate who may need special accomodations should contact Sonja Crawford at c3ljciB8IHVmbCAhIGVkdQ== at least two weeks prior to the event.
The University of Florida is an Equal Opportunity Institution.
